Throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, nonprofit organizations play a significant role in social and economic development, environmental protection, health care, and reinforcing democratic practices for the most vulnerable.
In recent years, the sector’s recognition and legitimacy has increased, enabling many organizations to expand their services and increase outreach to needy populations. Not only are organizations increasing in complexity, but they are also facing greater competition.
Sharing information and best practices in order to strengthen local organizations and build capacity is central to The Resource Foundation's mission. In addition to one-on-one consultations, The Resource Foundation has organized and/or conducted numerous workshops and seminars for over 600 nonprofit organizations from 27 countries.
Topics have included the following:
- Board Development
- Financial Sustainability
- Fundraising
- Management and Leadership Skills
- Organizational Management
- Programmatic Methodologies
