How does The Resource Foundation identify affiliate organizations in Latin America?All of The Resource Foundation's staff and many of its board members have lived and/or worked in the region. Using its extensive network in the development field, The Resource Foundation selects leading nonprofit organizations with proven track records in effective program management, efficient use of funds and strong community involvement.
What are the specific criteria for affiliation with The Resource Foundation?The Resource Foundation's affiliation criteria include: strong executive leadership, committed Board, proven administrative capability, financial stability, focused and innovative programs, commitment to self-help activities among low-income groups, high regard for the environment and sustainability.

What percentage of donations is used to support programs?The Resource Foundation manages costs very efficiently. Every year since its founding in 1987, 90% or more of funds raised has been applied to programs and services. Importantly, The Resource Foundation has received Charity Navigator's highest rating, 4-Stars, for its organizational efficiency and sound fiscal management.
