Marcela Lopez-Macedonio, Executive Director
Marcela Lopez-Macedonio, Esq., is the Executive Director of The Resource Foundation, where she is responsible for  its operation and management, including donor relations. Since 2000, Marcela held various positions at The Resource Foundation, including Deputy Executive Director, Senior Director of Philanthropy and Director of Communications.  In these roles, she touched every aspect of the foundation’s operation and had a tremendous impact in the way The Resource Foundation currently does business. Marcela has been responsible for overseeing The Resource Foundation’s relationships with corporate donors, creating new marketing strategies, strengthening relationships with affiliate organizations, restructuring job functions in order to optimize organizational efficiency, and increasing The Resource Foundation’s visibility on both national and international levels.

Prior to joining The Resource Foundation, Marcela worked as an Attorney at the New York City law firm of Goldfarb, Abrandt, Salzman & Kutzin, where for over five years she assisted high net worth clients navigate complicated trust and estate issues and litigation. She often lectured on estate and tax planning and was published in the Practicing Law Institute’s Trust and Estates publication and still found time to volunteer with The Resource Foundation.

Ms. Lopez-Macedonio holds a Juris Doctor from New York Law School and B.A. degrees in Political Science and French from Rutgers University. She is fluent in English and Spanish, proficient in French, and has a basic understanding of Portuguese.
