Thanks to your generous contributions in 2008, we funded 150 projects in 25 countries which benefited 5 million disadvantaged individuals. These projects provided education to children in Brazil, health care to women in El Salvador, access to microenterprise loans in Honduras, and much more. We could not have done this without your continued support.
While these accomplishments are remarkable, now more than ever, the need remains. In these challenging economic times, we are concerned about vulnerable families and communities in Latin America and the Caribbean who struggle each day to survive. News Flash: New Corporate Partners
The Resource Foundation announces its most recent partnerships with Kellogg Company and Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation. We are proud to be collaborating with these companies, which are making valuable contributions to the communities in which they operate.
 J&J Hosts Craft Fair to Recognize World AIDS Day
Johnson & Johnson (J&J) hosted a holiday craft fair on World AIDS Day to raise awareness among its employees about HIV/AIDS and highlight the important work that local organizations are doing to battle this disease. J&J grantee organizations from all over the world sold beautiful handcrafts made by individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.
The Resource Foundation helped J&J organize the craft sales from its affiliates in Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Guatemala, and was also present at the event to answer questions about the organizations and the products being sold. The sales helped microentrepreneurs increase their income and gain access to an international market.
 ProYouth Brazil Fund
We are pleased to announce the creation of the ProYouth Brazil Fund at The Resource Foundation. The ProYouth Brazil Fund enables U.S. donors to efficiently support ProYouth Brazil's programs throughout the year.
Founded in 2005, ProYouth Brazil seeks to equip at-risk youth with the life skills needed to reach their full potential by strengthening the support services offered to them and their families. With offices in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and an advisory board in the U.S., its dedicated staff and volunteers are working to give at-risk youth a chance at leading safe, happy and productive lives.
