TRF has been awarded Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four-stars for the third consecutive year in recognition of its efficiency and sound fiscal management.

The Resource Foundation has received Charity Navigator’s highest rating of four-stars for the third consecutive year for its sound fiscal management. With this rating, The Resource Foundation becomes one of only 14% of the 5,500 charities that Charity Navigator evaluates which has received this “exceptional” designation over three consecutive years.

Charity Navigator is the nation’s premier, independent charity evaluator. Through its rigorous rating system, it is able to highlight the work of effective and efficient charities and provide donors with essential information needed to give them greater confidence in the charitable choices they make. This four-star rating means that The Resource Foundation “consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America.” As Ken Berger, President and CEO of Charity Navigator, wrote in his award letter, “[t]his ‘exceptional’ designation from Charity Navigator differentiates The Resource Foundation from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”

Charity Navigator applies a data-driven analysis to its rating system, which examines an organization’s efficient application  of funds and its capacity to manage growth in programs and services. The report on The Resource Foundation indicated that 93.7% of organizational revenue was dedicated to programs.
